STRUCTURE OF THE 19 DATASHEETS
Each piece of music analyzed in the datasheet belongs to classical music (but you can create new ones for popular music, following their model). The datasheets present 6 sections that contain concrete instructions to navigate YMusic (sections 1, 2 and 4) as well as information related to the composer (in section 2, found amongst musicologists writings) and an invitation to students (personal expression, in section 6):
1. ID CARD
* Tempo and duration (students check in YMusic)
* Time signature (students check in YMusic) or key signature
* Musical form of the piece (basic information)
* Listening (students listen to the piece of music - twice)
2. COMPOSER
* Notes related to composer's repertoire (musical aspects only)
* Remarks related to the reception of the piece explored in the datasheet (musical content only)
3. AWARENESS
* Details related to instruments (students check in YMusic)
* Invitation to represent intuitively the form of the sound made by each instrument (students may use the notebook associated with each sheet)
4. SEARCH
* Comparison of the title explored in the datasheet and another piece that is similar (students search for the piece in YMusic)
* Personal notes (students may use the notebook associated to each sheet)
5. SEED
Sharing of the information found during the whole search process (de visu or on social media) or, at least, of the URL linking to YMusic's homepage: http://www.music-search-engine.info.
6. SEARCHING INSIDE MYSELF
To explore their emotions in relation to the piece of music analyzed with YMusic, students are invited to choose 10 adjectives which narrow the piece for them.
