* MUSICAL ANECDOTE:
That piece, which is part of the ‘works without opus’ (WoO), was unpublished until the 1900s. It is one of the most simple compositions written by Beethoven, which can be taught to beginners easily. Its form, the Ecossaise, is actually a type of Scottish country dance, which was also popular in Great Britain and France, during the 18th and the 19th Century. Numerous Ecossaises were written for solo piano, including by several classical music composers, like Schubert, Beethoven and Chopin.

Two pieces have a short duration, while the third one is much longer. Why? It is just because that piece in the database contains, alone, 12 Ecossaises!
